Alternative winter sports
However, there is plenty for all winter sports enthusiasts to do and experience away from the slopes too. Cross-country skiers leave their tracks on the valley head trail or high altitude trail on the Reiterkogel, both of which are located in Hinterglemm. For all romantics there are tempting wintry horse-drawn carriage rides through the Salzburger Land's idyllic winter scenery. On long winter hikes you forget about the stress of everyday life and experience the incredibly natural setting of the Alps from a different aspect. At the same time up to 40 km of hiking trails await you.
Fancy a toboggan run?
Three great toboggan runs invite you to enjoy hearty fun in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. Sledges or toboggans can be hired at the toboggan runs. It's particularly great fun when the toboggan runs are floodlit in the evening.
